Have you ever wondered if the Old Testament is reliable? How can we be so sure?

Join us for six evening lectures with Dr Murray Adamthwaite, who will be exploring the validity of the Old Testament through comparison to other ancient near eastern texts. 


Wednesday evenings, 7 - 9pm

  • 23rd August - Historical Texts and the Idea of History
  • 30th August - Kingship: Ancient Cultures and Israel

This course is available for audit, total cost is $100.


dr murray adamthwaite theologian akkadian archaeologist

Murray Adamthwaite is a theologian and archaeologist, currently teaching Old Testament at the PTC. He is a research fellow at the University of Melbourne, and a specialist in Akkadian. He has participated in three excavations in the Middle East, and has pastored several churches. Murray is married to Corrie, and they have three children.
