Overview: study of the second part of the Old Testament, namely the Latter Prophets and Writings. Your lecturer will help you to acquire an overall acquaintance with the text, an appreciation of the Ancient Near Eastern background, and an understanding of the major theological themes.

Method: Lectures and discussion, set reading, essay, short exams.

Textbook: Eugene H. Merrill, Mark F. Rooker, and Michael A. Grisanti, The World and the Word (Nashville: B & H Academic, 2011).
