PTC Jubilee Service

Highlights from PTC Jubilee Service - 16 February 2025

PTC marked a significant milestone on Sunday, 16 February 2025, celebrating its 50th Jubilee with a special service at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Camberwell. Over 120 attendees gathered to reflect on PTC’s rich history and to witness the installation of four new lecturers.

During the event, Rev Dr John Wilson, Lecturer in Church History and Practical Theology took the audience on a historical journey through PTC’s early years, highlighting the college’s enduring legacy. The State Moderator, Rev Ian Hutton led the installation of the new lecturers and delivered an inspiring sermon titled “Seeing the Hand of God” from Nehemiah 2:1-20, reminding everyone of God’s faithfulness and guidance.

The lecturers who were ‘installed’ are as follows:

  • Dr JOHN LEE (PhD Free University of Amsterdam, MA Westminster Seminary California, published author), appointed to the role of Lecturer in Theological Studies, starting 2025.
  • Rev BEN NELSON, who has already served for seven years as New Testament Lecturer and has been reappointed.
  • Rev MARTIN PAKULA. Lecturer in Biblical Languages, moving from a casual to a permanent part time position
  • Rev Dr KARL HOOD, Lecturer in Biblical Counselling, moving from a casual to a permanent part time position

The PTC community is both grateful to God and excited to welcome these new lecturers, confident that they will help shape the future of theological education at PTC.
