Overview

This subject explores the historical background to the gospel, with each text be studied separately to discern the main themes of Jesus’ message and ministry. Students will gain an understanding of the historical, socio-cultural, religious and political setting of the gospels, and develop a thorough knowledge of the life and ministry of Jesus.

Classroom instruction and discussion; an essay learning task; set reading and assignments
