Rev Peter Hastie

Peter has spent 32 years in pastoral ministry, as well as 14 years in Christian publishing as the editor of Australian Presbyterian. For over two decades he has been involved in Christian education, serving on the Councils of the Scots College, Bellevue Hill and PLC Sydney and Armidale, where he has been chairman.

Jared has spent thirteen years in pastoral ministry, and has lectured and studied in various fields. He has a PhD in Jewish Studies from the University of Melbourne, and a ThM from Westminster Seminary in historical theology. Jared is married to Cassie, who has homeschooled their five children. He is also editor of the Reformed Theological Review.

Felix, a Hong Kong born Chinese Australian, has been serving as pastor, missionary, and Bible College lecturer in different cultural settings for almost 20 years. He is also involved in different missionary ministries, publishing articles in mission magazines and visiting overseas Bible colleges and churches to lecture on mission-related courses. He is married to Mei, who has also been serving with him as a missionary and church worker for over 15 years. They have one child named Joseph.
Mr Ben Nelson

Ben was a high school teacher for many years, and is an elder at South Yarra Presbyterian Church. Following on from his MDiv research work, Ben is undertaking a PhD which focuses on the translation and analysis of the works of Oecolampadius, an early Reformer. Ben is married to Jen, and they have four children.
Rev Dr Douglas Milne

In 2011, Douglas Milne completed 10 years as principal and 32 years of teaching at PTC. Since retiring, he continues to lecture at PTC as needed and continues to speak widely. Douglas is married to Joan and they have two adult children and four grandchildren
Rev Dr Tony Bird
Greek & New Testament

Tony is a former missionary in Indonesia, along with his wife Carole. They have four children and six grandchildren.
Tony is active in Donvale Presbyterian Church, and he has recently completed a commentary on the Letter of James. Tony has lectured at the PTC for 25 years.
Rev Dr Rowland Ward

Rowland has spent 40 years in pastoral ministry with the Presbyterian Church of Eastern Australia. He has written extensively on Presbyterian history, doctrine and worship and lectured in Australia and overseas. Recent publications include Scots’ Church Melbourne: A History of 175 Years and A Short History of the Church in Scotland AD300 to 2015. He is currently working on a new edition of Religious Bodies in Australia – A Comprehensive Guide.
Rev Dr Karl Hood

Karl has a longstanding involvement in pastoral counselling, which he sees as an important part of the ministry of the Word. After a decade of medical practice, he undertook further training in counselling and theology at Westminster Theological Seminary and CCEF (Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation) in Philadelphia and then completed his studies for ordination through PTC. He has been on the pastoral staff of the Drouin congregation since 2010. Karl is married to Louise and they have four children.
Dr Murray Adamthwaite

Murray has studied in Melbourne, Sydney and London, has lectured in Old Testament, pastored churches and participated in three archaeological excavations in Israel and Syria. He is currently Research Fellow at Melbourne University, as well as a distance education in NSW. He is a specialist in Akkadian. He is married to Corrie and they have three children.
Rev Dr John Wilson

John serves as Assembly Clerk of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria and Moderator-General of the Presbyterian Church of Australia. He was a full-time lecturer at PTC for several years, teaching Church History and Practical Theology. John pastored in three different parishes for 20 years. For several years he has undertaken preaching trips to Zambia and short term mission trips to Malawi. John is married to Paula and has three adult children.
Rev Martin Pakula

Martin is a Jewish Christian, married to Jennie, and father of two adult children. He has been involved in parish ministry, university ministry, Bible College lecturing, and Jewish mission. He has taught OT and Biblical Languages.
Rev Dr Allan Harman

Allan is a former principal of the PTC. He has spent his teaching life working in the field of Hebrew and Old Testament. He has written commentaries on the Psalms, Deuteronomy, Isaiah and Daniel, as well as numerous articles, and has recently enlarged and republished his commentary on the Psalms. In 2003 he received an honorary doctorate from the Australian College of Theology.
Mr Matthew Cole
BA | GradDipTh | MDiv
Matt was born in Mornington, Victoria as the oldest of four children. He grew up attending church, and some of his earliest memories are of his mother reading the Bible to him. On the 3rd of January 1993, the Lord brought Matt to repentance and faith in Christ. Matt’s love for art led him to complete a degree in Animation from RMIT, Melbourne, and his enjoyment of sport led to work as an arborist, and as a delivery clerk for a paralegal company. When he was 21, the Lord called him to begin preparation for service as an elder in his church. Matt’s greatest desire is that God might be glorified through him.
Mr Simon Kennedy
Simon is a PhD candidate at the University of Queensland, where he is focusing on early modern intellectual history. He has taught church history, public theology, Christian worldview, and political thought at various institutions. He is married to Hayley, has four young children, and attends North Geelong Presbyterian Church.
Ms Gillian Asquith
MA (Oxon) | PGCertEd | MDiv
Gillian has lectured in Early Christianity at the Australian Catholic University, and previously held the position of College Tutor at Ridley College. She currently tutors in the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy at the Australian Catholic University. She is a Trustee of the Centre for Biblical Preaching and a Director of Summer Institute of Linguistics Australia.
Miss Wendy Bytheway

Wendy is an accomplished and experienced writer and teacher of English studies in both Australia and China. She has written two books (Paternoster) under a pen name.
